Facilitator Biography

AIM
To enable participants of any level of expertise to increase the impact and effectiveness of their presentations.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of this workshop participants will have enhanced their:

  • Knowledge and understanding of key factors necessary to make presentations successful as communication
  • Awareness of their personal strengths and opportunities as a presenter
  • Confidence and enthusiasm for presenting as a powerful interpersonal process
  • Ability to design and deliver coherent presentations which stimulate involvement, effectively manage attention and achieve positive results

Managers, Sales Professionals, Leaders and anyone who wants to make the most of their ability to communciate a message with greater impact and effectiveness than ever before.

PROCESS
This workshop is targeted at achieving individual developments for each participant whether they are experienced presenters or beginners. The highly interactive processes used build upon the existing expertise within the learners and model many of the strategies suggested. The workshop is a small group coaching session with your coach, Andrew Inglis, who enables each participant to clarify their personal strengths and opportunities through practice with constructive feedback and personal action planning.
Each participant will have opportunities to “play in the sandpit” by doing both impromptu and prepared presentations. They will receive personalized constructive feedback as well as specific suggestions for development.

CONTENT
The Presenter’s Effectiveness Grid-criteria for success and focused development

  1. Why Present?
    Ensuring presentation is the best for form of communication.
    Clarifying specific intended outcomes
  2. Who?
    Assessing the audience and building rapport
  3. What?
    Choosing what to present and structuring for impact
  4. How?
    Using a variety of delivery methods and processes.
  5. Making the most of Visual Aids
  6. The Presenter as communicator and visual aid using gestures and   movement
  7. Effective Eye Communication
  8. Using humour, storytelling and the Voice to create positive images
  9. Putting it all together
  10. Practice with feedback and personal action planning

DURATION
Two days for a maximum of 10 participants.

Third practice day available.
One day unlimited group conference version (minimal individual practice).

Andrew Inglis is the principal facilitator of CTT in Australia and New Zealand.
